Maximilian Lyon, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor
Biology

Courses Taught

General Biology I, General Biology II

Education

Ph.D., Molecular Cell Biology, Washington University in St. Louis
B.S., Biology, University of Central Oklahoma

Research Interests

Lyon鈥檚 research interests involve the role of ion channels in mammalian reproduction. He has studied the role of a specific potassium channel, SLO3, in human and mouse male fertility using a range of techniques, from patch-clamp electrophysiology to fluorescence microscopy and ion indicator dyes. Lyon also has an interest in SoTL research on mentoring and education of undergraduate students.
