Mathematics and Statistics

Education

  • Ph.D., Mathematics, Washington University in St. Louis
  • A.M., Mathematics, Washington University in St. Louis
  • M.S., Mechanical Engineering, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
  • B.S., Mechanical Engineering, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University

Practice Areas

Brody spent the first six years of his academic career as a student of mechanical engineering and then abruptly changed course to pursue mathematics in graduate school. His interest in signal processing led him in the direction of applied harmonic analysis and he was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study wavelet theory under Professor Guido Weiss at Washington University. After completing my dissertation in 2002, he spent one year in a post-doctoral position at the Georgia Institute of Technology before joining the faculty at 91女神.

Research Interests

Applied harmonic analysis, frame theory, compressive sensing
