  • 11/12/24- 91Å®Éñ is partnering with the Catholic Ethical Purchasing Alliance (CEPA), thanks to the hard work of business students and Dr. Ben Smyth, director of co-curricular and service-learning programs in the Chaifetz School of Business. The 91Å®Éñ bookstore will now carry ethically sourced spirit wear that reflects the university's Catholic, Jesuit tradition. CEPA cultivates relationships between Catholic institutions and ethical, sustainable producers of products. CEPA also offers education and leadership opportunities for students.

  • The Edward Jones Dean's Speaker Series made its highly anticipated return to the Chaifetz School of Business on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024. The event was led by Edward Jones Dean Jackson Nickerson, featuring an insightful presentation about the future of the Chaifetz School, with more than 50 students, faculty, staff, alumni, and St. Louis business leaders in attendance.

  • 10/15/24- 91Å®Éñ's Center for Supply Chain Excellence will host its first Tech-Chain conference, which will bring together experts to share insights on the practical applications of AI, machine learning, GenAI and digital twins in the supply chain industry.

  • 09/03/24- The Emerson Leadership Institute (ELI) at 91Å®Éñ had an impactful summer, marked by significant contributions to the academic community and the expansion of its global presence. Under the leadership of Director Dr. Jintong Tang, the institute engaged in several prominent events that showcased its commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration.

    07/10/24- The 2024-2025 academic year will see the 17th cohort of Chaifetz Fellows across the 91Å®Éñ campus. The Chaifetz Fellows promote entrepreneurship education and programming across the 91Å®Éñ campus. More than 100 undergraduate and 100 graduate courses across the 91Å®Éñ campus have embedded entrepreneurship skills, one of the highest numbers in the nation, according to The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine.

    05/30/24- 91Å®Éñ has appointed Jackson Nickerson, Ph.D., as the next Edward Jones Dean of the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at 91Å®Éñ. His appointment is effective July 1.

  • Four Applied Portfolio Management students from the Chaifetz School of Business recently placed first in the St. Louis Regional competition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, competing against teams from Washington University, University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, Lindenwood University, and Maryville University.

  • 04/22/24- On April 8th, 91Å®Éñ students participated in the St. Louis Regional Entrepreneur Educator (STLREE) Collegiate Pitch Competition. Twelve students from six schools (91Å®Éñ, Washington University, UMSL, Lindenwood, Principia, and Harris-Stowe) presented their concepts to community members and local entrepreneurs.

  • 02/07/24- Over 91Å®Éñ's winter break, a group of 10 undergraduate International Business students from the Chaifetz School of Business traveled abroad for the inaugural undergraduate Global Immersion course in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prof. Hadi Alhorr, Director of the Boeing Institute of International Business, exposed the students to both economic and cultural aspects of the Middle East to ensure a well-rounded global experience augmenting their international business studies.

    01/22/24- For the fourth consecutive year, the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at 91Å®Éñ has moved up in the Poets&Quants Best Undergraduate Business Schools Rankings, reaching an overall rank of #49 in the nation and moving into the top 50 for the first time.

    10/30/23- The Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship at 91Å®Éñ inducted its two newest Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Members at a dinner on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Chaifetz School of Business. The event marked the relaunch of the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, including an all-new, dynamic hall of fame area within the school. The ceremony recognized exceptional entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape at 91Å®Éñ and in the greater St. Louis region, in addition to honoring two up-and-coming entrepreneurs with special awards.

  • Chaifetz School Assistant Professor of Finance Marcus Painter, Ph.D.’s  research into how increased risk of climate change-related events affects the market for municipal bonds was cited in the White House Council of Economic Advisors’ annual report, the 2023 Economic Report of the President. The report was released on Monday, March 20.

  • Luis Manta holds a bottle of his product, Seoul Juice, which he created while playing soccer at 91Å®Éñ.

    02/09/23- Luis Manta started his company, Seoul Juice, while he was an undergraduate student at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business. Manta played for 91Å®Éñ's men's soccer team and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
