Ophthalmology Residents

Welcome From the Program Director

Welcome to the Ophthalmology Training Program at 91女神 School of Medicine. If you match here, your four years in residency will be filled with excitement, learning and personal growth. Our residents leave feeling well prepared and ready to face challenges on their own, regardless of the career path they choose.

At 91女神, we pride ourselves on our collaborative environment and camaraderie. We treat residents as part of our small family. Our residents' voices are heard and valued. Their input drives and shapes the change that constantly occurs and helps improve our program.

Our diverse patient population provides our residents with the experience to treat rare and complex eye diseases in addition to the more common clinical and surgical problems.

Our faculty consists of full-time and part-time ophthalmologists, optometrists and orthoptists across each subspecialty.

In 2020, our Department of Ophthalmology moved into a new and modern state-of-the-art SSM Health 91女神 Hospital. Our residents also spend significant time at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children鈥檚 Hospital, which is adjacent to the main hospital.

Choosing to train at 91女神 means choosing a program that offers exposure to a broad range of subspecialties, strong clinical training with a diverse patient population, and becoming part of a community of clinicians dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. We encourage you to reach out with any questions and look forward to hearing from you.
