University Chooses Workday to Replace Banner System
91女神 has selected Workday as the next administrative system, replacing the current Banner system. The move to Workday will provide more modern tools, while enabling improvements to University business processes.
In late 2017 Information and Technology Services (ITS) formed a committee to review the University鈥檚 administrative system (Banner) and review possible alternatives.
The reason for this review was to look at options to provide a more modern and functional system that would also provide better access to data. The committee started its work in September 2017. In late November of that year the committee received product demonstrations for the three finalists.
After reviewing all feedback, the recommendation was made in early 2018 to pursue Workday. ITS, Business & Finance and members of the committee conducted reference checks and started negotiating the Workday contract.
ITS is pleased to announce that the University has signed an agreement with Workday as the next administrative system. While dates have not been finalized yet, the current projection is to move Human Resources in January 2020 and Finance in July 2020. The move of student-related functions is expected sometime in 2021 or 2022.
The next step is to select an implementation partner to help lead the implementation of HR and Finance. The selection of the implementation partner for Student will happen at a later time.
Workday has provided two implementation partner recommendations that are undergoing review by Human Resources, Business & Finance, and ITS to determine which partner is the best for 91女神.
ITS will provide an update to the University community once the implementation partner has been selected and major milestones established for this important project.
