Multiple Methods of Support Will Be in Place after Launch of Workday
The Workday go-live date is fast approaching and plans are in place to support you as you begin working in the new system.
As a reminder, starting on Jan. 1, 91女神 will use Workday for HR and payroll tasks, including:
- Entering time
- Managing personal information (including name, dependents, direct deposit, emergency contact and cell number for the 91女神 Emergency Notification System)
- Managing benefit elections for healthcare and other insurance
- Completing self-evaluations and performance reviews
Committed to ensuring that everyone can successfully use the system when it goes live in January, the Workday project team has put together a support plan that includes a variety of ways to get help. Highlights of the support plan are below.
In-Person Support
From January 2-17, you can get support in person Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Room 128 of Wool Center on north campus. You can also get support January 2-10 in the atrium of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) on south campus.
Dedicated Call Center
From January 2-17, there will be a dedicated call center for Workday issues Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Call the Helpdesk at 314-977-4000 and select the option for Workday.
Job Aids
Starting January 1, you will find job aids in the Workday system to help with step-by-step instructions that will walk you through all the various tasks you may need to complete. Additional information regarding how to access these job aids will be provided in the coming weeks.
Ongoing Support
Don鈥檛 forget that our helpdesk, which is managed by our partner Blackboard, provides around-the-clock support via phone (314-977-4000 or 1-314-977-4000) and email (ask@slu.edu), so help will be available after hours and on weekends, too.
As a reminder, the Workday Champion Network is also available to help. More than 100 individuals from units across the University have been meeting regularly and can help you if you鈥檙e having trouble with basic tasks. Members are listed on the Workday@91女神 website.
In the coming weeks, be on the lookout for more go-live announcements and information about how you will access the system and complete a few tasks when getting started in Workday.
If you have questions or need more information in the meantime, email the Workday project manager, Jackie Manikam, at jacqueline.manikam@health.slu.edu.
