Research Excellence Highlighted at Grantwinner Reception
04/18/2023
91女神 researchers were recognized at the 2023 Grantwinner Reception.
The event, which dates back to 1976, celebrates research excellence and recognizes success in publications or pieces and in grant submissions from the previous year. The reception, hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), took place Friday, April 14, in the Sinquefield Stateroom and honored 13 members of the 91女神 community with awards.
鈥淚 am so thrilled with the progress we are making and the momentum we have,鈥 said Ken Olliff, vice president for research and partnerships. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an amazing group of scholars and scientists that we have here.鈥
Provost Mike Lewis, Ph.D., said it was tough to recognize just 13 individuals with all the great work being done at 91女神.
鈥淭here鈥檚 so much going on right now that it鈥檚 wonderful to celebrate the individuals, but I don鈥檛 know how it gets chosen,鈥 he said. 鈥淥ne of the nice things is I get included on a lot of emails, and it鈥檚 always something to celebrate. I get emails most days to talk about the accomplishments of our faculty. It really is impressive to see what is going on.鈥
