Audre Lorde Scholars Program
The Audre Lorde Scholars Program is designed to support students who self-identify as Women of Color while facilitating networking, community and social opportunities. The program provides a communal and uplifting space for scholars to openly discuss through an intersectional lens the experiences and challenges that Women of Color face as it relates to race and gender in predominantly white and male environments. Audre Lorde Scholars meet regularly throughout the academic school year and are partnered with 91女神 faculty and staff who serve as mentors. The Audre Lorde Scholars Women Symposium occurs at the end of the year, and its purpose is to bring together college women leaders from across the St. Louis region to participate in a half day of interactive workshops, presentations and speakers with a focus on women's issues while amplifying women's voices and stories.
