Scholarships for Current Students
91女神's Doisy College of Health Sciences (DCHS) offers several scholarships for current students within the college. In addition, the 91女神 college has numerous program-specific scholarships for current students.
There are both merit-based and need-based scholarships available. The requirements, number of recipients, the amount of the award and the duration of the scholarship vary by individual scholarship. For more information regarding any scholarships, please contact that specific department.

Doisy College of Health Sciences Scholarships
The Doisy College of Health Sciences Cura Scholarship is for any student with a declared major within DCHS who is experiencing unexpected financial need. The student must have a current year FAFSA on file with the Office of Student Financial Services and have exhausted all available loans through the Financial Aid office. Students must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

The DCHS Alumni Scholarship is for any student with a declared major within DCHS. The student must have earned at least 12 college credits, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and submit a personal statement of their career goals after graduation.

The Elia A. & Karen Bahow Scholarship is to benefit an undergraduate engineering or health care field student. The student must have at least a 3.0 GPA and submit an essay describing service and leadership efforts and reasons for pursuing their degree.

The Florian and Walburga Horvath Memorial Health Professions Scholarship is for any student entering the final year of their bachelor's, master's or doctoral field of study within a DCHS program. The award recognizes leadership, academic achievement, commitment to education and financial need. The student must have at least a 3.2 GPA and demonstrate leadership, service and a strong work ethic.

Athletic Training Scholarships
The Clarence "Bob" Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Athletic Training is for students entering their second professional year in the Athletic Training program. Applicants must have a minimum 3.6 GPA in professional year courses and a letter of recommendation.

The Brandi Burgett Memorial Award and Scholarship is for students entering the second professional year in the Athletic Training program. Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.6 and preference is given to applicants who have overcome adversity in pursuit of graduation.

Health Information Management Scholarships
The Elmo and Jean Poole Endowed Scholarship is for Health Sciences students with the Health Information Management concentration who have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

The Sr. Mary Servatia Risse Endowed Scholarship is for Health Sciences students with the Health Information Management concentration with a GPA of 3.3 or greater.

Medical Laboratory Science Scholarships
The Alice Zipf O鈥橰ourke Research Scholarship recognizes Medical Laboratory Science majors or Investigative and Medical Science students seeking a discipline-specific laboratory certificate and who are actively conducting research with Dr. Ezekiel, Dr. Heuertz, or Dr. Randolph.
The recipient will be recommended by a committee made up of members from both internal and external to the Medical Laboratory Science program, and ultimately chosen by the Chairperson of the Department of Clinical Health Sciences. Applicants must be a current junior who will be entering the final year of the B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science program (Investigative Medical Science students seeking a discipline-specific medical laboratory certificate are also eligible) and be actively conducting research with Dr. Ezekiel, Dr. Heuertz or Dr. Randolph.

The Weber Family Term Scholarship is for juniors and seniors from the Medical Laboratory Science program. Applicants must be in good academic standing and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The Sr. Mary Dolorosa Pope/Anna Warren Oller Scholarship is for juniors and seniors from the Medical Laboratory Science program. Applicants must have earned 42 college credits or more, have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

In-person students in the 91女神 medical laboratory science program can apply for this scholarship. Recipients will be awarded $5,000 per semester, up to four semesters. Upon graduating, scholarship recipients agree to work for BJH Laboratories (six months for every $5,000 earned).

The St. Luke's Hospital Education to Employment Scholarship program is designed to provide financial support for students enrolled in the following accredited associate or bachelor鈥檚 degree programs: respiratory care, imaging technology and laboratory science.
Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded in each program area during the 2022-2023 academic year. The goal of the scholarship program is to raise awareness of these important fields of study, increase the number of clinicians entering these professions and provide opportunities for employment at St. Luke鈥檚 Hospital.

Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarships
The Culinary Scholarship Fund is for undergraduate students with a culinary concentration in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Applicants must have earned 12 or more college credits and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Healthy Futures Scholarship is for undergraduate students in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics who demonstrate a commitment to diversity through their academic achievement, leadership experiences and volunteer experiences. Occupational Therapy Scholarships
The Shirley K. Behr, Ph.D., Endowed Scholarship is for students with a declared major in occupational therapy who demonstrate innovative leadership qualities that foster excellence. Applicants must be in the second year of the professional program (PY2) and have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Scholarships are awarded in the late fall and applied to tuition during Level II fieldwork experiences.

The Julie A. Holmes Memorial Scholarship is for graduate students in the occupational therapy program who demonstrate a record of committed service to those with disabilities and their families. The Kristina Anderson Professional Excellence in Practice Award is for graduate students in the occupational therapy program who exemplify professional and humanitarian qualities. Physical Therapy Scholarships
The Cheryl L. Cavallo Endowed Memorial Fund is for upcoming professional year three students in the physical therapy program. Applicants must have a 2.7 GPA or higher, a desire to participate in health care-related domestic or international mission trips.

The Dr. Peter Mosher Endowed Memorial Scholarship is for students entering professional year three in the physical therapy program and placed in a clinical setting over the upcoming summer or spring PYIII year that would be considered as serving the underserved and have a GPA of 2.7 or higher.

The Carolyn Gioia Memorial Scholarship is for students entering professional years two or three of the physical therapy program with a GPA of 2.7 or higher. Preference is given to students with physical disabilities.

The Sister Imelda Pingel Scholarship is for students entering two or three of the physical therapy program with a 2.7 GPA or higher. The award is also based on financial need and applicants must have FASFA on file with the Office of Financial Aid.

The Theresa Bernsen Endowed Memorial Award is for students entering their second or third professional year in the physical therapy program with a GPA of 2.7 or higher and who are considered a first-generation college student.

The Eric Estill D.P.T., Memorial Endowed Scholarship is for professional year II students in the Program in Physical Therapy. This scholarship is intended to support a student that has dedicated themselves to their studies with a GPA between 3.2 and 3.75. Applicants should demonstrate financial need and display a commitment to the community at large, whether that is locally or internationally. Eric Estill (D.P.T. Class of 2015) was moved by the service he provided to others; this same passion should be evident in the student recipient.

The For and With Others Physical Therapy Student Association (PTSA) Scholarship is for Professional Year II or Professional Year III students in the physical therapy program who are from a historically underrepresented community or who significantly contribute to these communities. Physician Assistant Scholarships
The David W. Wagner Memorial Scholarship is for students enrolled in their second semester or beyond in the physician assistant program. Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Scholarships
The Rehab Choice Incorporated Endowed Scholarship is for undergraduate students in the speech, language and hearing sciences program. Applicants must be enrolled in CSDI 4050, be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have earned at least 12 college credits. The scholarship will provide assistance to attend either a professional state or national convention to present research.
