ST. LOUIS 鈥 The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and 91女神 will co-host the Geo-Resolution 2024 conference, 鈥淢odeling the Future for Today鈥檚 Decisions,鈥 Thursday, Sept. 12, at 91女神鈥檚 Busch Student Center. The event is supported by Taylor Geospatial Institute.
This year鈥檚 theme will focus on how geospatial models can help solve many of the world's most critical problems.
Geo-Resolution encourages collaboration between government, academic and industry partners to foster geospatial technology innovation and applications, connect geospatial experts and students and grow the geospatial ecosystem in the greater St. Louis region.
Discussions will include:
- The strengths and weak spots of modeling in geospatial research and analysis
- Areas for growth and development over the next decade and beyond
- How the development of generative AI has influenced the types and possibilities of modeling in the geospatial field
- Specific global challenges that geospatial researchers have been addressing through modeling
Geo-Resolution will provide participants and students access to geospatial experts from government, academia, innovation hubs, start-up companies and nonprofit organizations. Students will be able to meet local leaders from industry, academia and government to explore geospatial career opportunities.

The conference will include a student mentoring lunch; a poster session; a research, innovation and career expo and networking opportunities.
Geo-Resolution 2024 is free and open to the public. The conference will be held in-person at 91女神 and streamed live on the conference website.
